Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a modern bathroom, but my tall stature made me wary of the slanted roof risking concussion. The affordable ground floor room lacked the charm of previous stays.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were a decent size, comfortable, and offered a good view of the grounds, but lacking easy shower access and the required two beds. The price was reasonable, though.
The hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms are nice and have a good temperature, but they appear tired and give off a damp smell. The bed is incredibly comfortable, but there are no outside views. The service is friendly, with lovely warm welcoming fires in the lounge and bar areas, but some staff need to improve their handling of cups and spoons. The location is great and calm, like a beautiful hideaway, but it lacks ambience. The dining experience is nice and service is quick, but it seems quite expensive. Overall, a place where you can enjoy a truly full English breakfast but with limited options. The facilities are basic but sufficient.
